A woman’s attempt at filming a TikTok trend was interrupted by an elderly woman who misinterpreted her street-style video as a genuine mistake.
Amina Shan was on vacation in Italy when she decided to use the stunning street as a backdrop for an outfit video.
Shan, who lives in Paris, was attempting to capture an outfit reveal video, walking through the street as she slipped off her coat and scarf to show the fit she’d put together ahead of the day out in Italy.
The 25-year-old continued to walk without so much as looking back when her beige coat fell to the floor, with her disregard for the clothing item prompting a bystander to take action.

The bystander in question was an elderly woman near Shan as she walked across the cobbled road, blissfully unaware of the camera capturing the sweet moment that soon followed.
The woman, noticing Shan’s coat fall from her shoulders, immediately stopped in her tracks to notify Shan of the fact her coat was now laying on the floor.
Shan explained what happened in the on-screen text, where she wrote: “I wanted to make a TikTok, but this sweet lady thought I was losing my coat for real.” The adorable moment went viral, gaining over 2.3 million views and 255,000 likes since being shared too her account (@amina_shan) on June 1.
The older woman turned to tell her “your coat,” repeating herself three times to ensure Shan wouldn’t leave without the item.
Grateful for the woman taking the time to notify her of the fallen item, instead of explaining what she had really been doing Shan simply thanked her for the kind gesture before picking the coat up.
What Do the Comments Say?
The video’s viewers rushed to comment on the moment, which Shan herself had called “The sweetest thing you’ll see on TikTok today.”
One user wrote, “Bless her sweet heart, and bless you for responding so sweetly instead of explaining bc she wouldn’t understand.”
“Old people are so sweet compared to others,” added another, who continued, “Like, most people wouldn’t bother to tell her.”
“Kindness is not dead,” wrote a third, while a fourth added that, “She [the elderly woman] was so proud of herself.”
One user shared their own story of dropped clothing, as they wrote, “I once ran six blocks of New York to give a running lady her scarf. Luckily we were going to the same place. That was a big accomplishment.”
