Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh’s Rajya Sabha membership was restored on Thursday after he was suspended last year during the monsoon session. He was suspended for the remainder of the monsoon session for repeatedly “violating” the directives of the chair. Sharing the news on his twitter handle, the AAP leader said that he got to experience the Rajya Sabha after almost one year. He expressed his gratitude to Vice President Jagdeep Dhankarand all memeber of the Privilege committee.

AAP’s senior leader Singh was suspended from Rajya Sabha for unruly behaviour in July 2023. Singh was re-elected to Rajya Sabha for the second time and was granted permission by a Delhi court in Februrary this year to take oath while he was lodged in jail in connection to the alleged Delhi Liquor Policy case.

Singh  was arrested in October 2023 and was released on April 2 this year after he secured a bail from the Supreme Court.
