The Election Commission (EC) on Wednesday took serious note of a social media post by the Haryana unit of the BJP using a child in a campaign video and called it a violation of the EC guidelines.
The poll body also sent a show cause notice to the State President of the BJP Haryana unit for immediate corrective action and submit a response by 6 pm on Thursday.
A campaign video was reportedly shared by the BJP in Haryana on social media platform X. The EC guidelines rule against that the use of children in election-related campaigning.
