‘Triptii Dimri asked What if the dead…’ during the graveyard scene

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is making all the right noise right now. After the critically acclaimed Srikanth and the stupendous success of Stree 2, Rajkummar Rao is back with a dramedy. He is paired opposite India’s current national crush, Triptii Dimri, who has become a rage after Animal, followed by Bad Newz. Add to it the interesting storyline set in the 90s where VHS tapes were one of the most important ways people stayed entertained. The trailer has received great reviews and fans are eagerly waiting to watch the film on the big screen on October 11, 2024. Interestingly, there is one scene in the trailer that has become a talking point on social media. Right before the Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video trailer ends, there is a scene where the film’s leads Rajkummar Rao and Tripti Dimri are at a graveyard at an ungodly hour. Both look scared as they feel there is someone or something around them, keeping a close watch at the duo. Fans on social media have been wondering if the film has a horror comedy twist, considering the recent ones like Munjya, Stree 2 have done so well. Netizens are also reminded of a scene from Stree where Shraddha takes Rajkummar to her ‘favourite place’. And now, director Raaj Shandilya has revealed an anecdote from the shoot of this particular scene that will only raise the anticipation. Talking exclusively to Smrity Sharma of BollywoodLife, Raaj revealed, “We shot this scene at a real graveyard in Dehradun. The graves there were around 150-200 year-old. Everyone was a little scared. Especially Tripti.” The filmmaker, known for films like Dream Girl, Dream Girl 2, Janhit Mein Jaari and more, further shared, “Tripti was scared ki real graveyard mein kaise karenge shoot. Koi utthkar bahar aa gaya toh.” (“How will we shoot at a real graveyard? Raaj revealed that the team wanted to keep it real and authentic and therefore despite being scared and the challenges, they went ahead with the plan. “Challenges ka naam hi zindagi hai, challenges ka naam he filmmaking hai. (“Life and filmmaking is all about facing and overcoming challenges”) So we went ahead and it turned out to be great,” he signed off.
