Taylor Swift’s reaction to the tense game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Las Vegas Raiders has been revealed, with lip readers claiming the singer joked that she needs “to go to the hospital.”
On Friday, the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” hitmaker arrived at Arrowhead Stadium to cheer on her Kansas City Chiefs tight end boyfriend, Travis Kelce. She made a stop between her last Eras Tour performances in Canada, where it will all wrap up on December 8.
Swift was spotted in a suite alongside her dad, Scott Swift, and Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, and she celebrated when Kelce scored a touchdown and the team won 19-17. In one video that was shared to X (formerly Twitter), Swift looked at times excited, nervous and relieved while standing with Sheawna Weathersby, the partner of Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones, and Chariah Gordon, the girlfriend of wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr.
According to X user @TSUpdating, in the clip, the pop superstar said: “I need to go to the hospital, Oh my god!” At the time of writing, the post had been viewed 394,200 times.
Newsweek emailed a spokesperson for Swift for comment on Monday outside of normal business hours.
“Taylor’s reaction says it all! Last night’s game had everyone on the edge of their seats,” one person commented.
“They are known as the heart attack Chiefs for a reason,” said another.
A third person added: “I think a lot of people felt that way. I think that ending was super unfortunate and lame myself.”
The video was first uploaded by user @tscrazierr, who wrote: “did she say ‘i had to go to the hospital.’ At the time of writing, the post had more than 666,000 views.
The Chiefs had a miraculous escape against the Raiders on Friday, who produced an incredible fumble with around 20 seconds left on the clock, handing the hosts a game-winning turnover at Arrowhead.

This is the first time Swift has attended for some time, as she missed the Chiefs’ last two road games due to her Eras Tour.
Her fans have been begging the NFL to change the start time of one of Kelce’s upcoming games so he can make it to her last scheduled show.
Swift has been on her record-breaking world tour since March 2023 and will have completed 149 performances of the three-hour epic concert in five different continents. She is now performing the last gigs of the Eras Tour in Canada, with the final concert happening on December 8 in Vancouver.
Kelce won’t be able to make the concert because the Chiefs are playing the Los Angeles Chargers on that day from 7:20 p.m. at Arrowhead Stadium. That means he could not make it to Swift’s concert in Canada.
Now Swifties have asked the NFL to change the game start time so Kelce can dash up to Vancouver for the concert. Kelce has been a regular fixture at Eras Tour concerts over the past year and earlier this month spoke about attending the last show. He managed to go to Swift’s October shows in Indianapolis, Indiana.
“I wanted to see Tay one more time before this thing got closed up,” Kelce said on his New Heights podcast, which he cohosts with his brother, Jason Kelce. He added: “I’ll tell you what, man, the American crowds, they did not disappoint.”
