A dog has left viewers on TikTok in stitches after perfectly timing her bedtime routine to the end credits of reality TV series, Love Island.
The dog, named Polly, was captured abiding by her nightly schedule, which starts as soon as Love Island’s end theme comes on, by her owner and shared to the platform. The viral video, shared by Polly’s owner under @jonesbethc on February 12, has garnered more than 454,000 views and 69,000 likes, with amused viewers calling the pet’s reaction “so real.”
Viewers were able to see Polly, who is based in the U.K., sitting on a couch, completely engrossed in an episode of the popular reality TV show that tries to match young singles together in a holiday villa. As soon as the end credits begin to roll, Polly leaps from the couch and heads straight into their crate, signaling an instinctive understanding that the show’s conclusion means bedtime.
An overlaid text on the video read: “Polly knows the ending sound of Love Island means bedtime.”
Viewers were captivated by Polly’s routine, with many finding it eerily relatable.
“No why’s my dog learnt this to Coronation Street theme tune but sometimes we watch a few episodes in a row, be half 6 and he’s thinking it’s bedtime,” one viewer said.
