Lalu Prasad Yadav, Tej Pratap Sent Summons In ‘Land-For-Jobs’ Scam

Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court took cognisance of the final conclusive chargesheet filed in the ‘land-for-job’ corruption case filed by the CBI. The Rouse Avenue Court issued summons to all the accused including former railway minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, his daughter Hema Yadav, and his son Tej Pratap Yadav

The CBI had filed a conclusive chargesheet against 78 people, including Lalu Yadav, last year. Lalu Prasad Yadav was allegedly involved in the ‘scam’ during his tenure as the Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009. He allegedly transferred land and property of job applicants and their families in exchange for government employment.

Jobs were handed out in railway zones in Mumbai, Jabalpur, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Hajipur in exchange for plots. Rouse Avenue Court ordered all the accused, including Lalu Yadav to appear on March 11.
