A recent report by Atlassian reveals that 92% of Indian professionals believe AI improves both the speed and quality of their team’s work. The report, titled State of Teams 2025, surveyed 12,000 knowledge workers across six regions, including India, Australia, France, Germany, and the UK.
Additionally, insights from 200 executives at Fortune 500 companies underscored the growing need for better team connectivity and information organization. According to the report, employees at these companies spend nearly 27% of their workweek searching for information.
“Team silos hinder collaboration, create inefficiencies, and lead to missed opportunities. Without alignment, achieving objectives and adapting to market changes becomes difficult. To stay competitive, companies must prioritize transparency and collaboration,” said Dr. Molly Sands, Head of Teamwork Lab at Atlassian.
The report also found that 72% of respondents identified difficulty in finding information as a major challenge, often requiring them to ask colleagues or schedule meetings for clarification. Additionally, 61% of Indian professionals reported that miscommunication between teams frequently led to duplicated efforts.
Apart from this, 87% of respondents believe AI helps them collaborate more effectively, while 91% feel AI can be better leveraged to discover and manage data.
The report highlights the growing role of AI in streamlining workflows, improving efficiency, and fostering better teamwork across organizations.
