BSF Personnel Shower ‘Gulal’ And Dance During Holi Celebrations At India-Pak Border In J-K: WATCH


The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday celebrated Holi at the India-Pakistan international border in the Hiranagar sector. 

The soldiers were seen joyfully celebrating the festival of colors, under the leadership of Commandant N.C. Pragaien of the 107th Battalion of the BSF. The personnel were dancing on the tunes of various Bollywood songs. They also raised the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

Commandant N.C. Pragaien of the 107th Battalion of the BSF said, “Holi is a festival of great joy and celebration, and people across India celebrate it, putting aside religious differences. Our soldiers are not with their families at this time, but those who are stationed here are celebrating it like a family. They are celebrating with great enthusiasm and togetherness…”

BSF personnel deployed at Tarapur under Mohanpur Subdivision (India-Bangladesh) border also celebrated Holi.

IG BSF Tripura Frontier, AK Sharma said, “Holi is an important festival of the country, and it teaches us brotherhood… We celebrate here with enthusiasm as we have people from all over the country here (in BSF).”

The personnel deployed at Border Outposts (BOPs) along the India-Bangladesh borders celebrated Holi.

Inspector General Suryakant Sharma said, as quoted by ANI, “…All the personnel here are involved in the security of the country; I extend my best wishes to them and their family… I know their families are a thousand miles apart, but the entire country is with them…”

Defence Minister’s Message On Holi

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took to X and extended wishes for Holi festival. He posted, “Best wishes to you on the vibrant festival of Holi! May the colors of joy, enthusiasm & new energy fill your life with happiness and health. Have a wonderful & safe Holi!”
