Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun’s dating controversy got more complicated when a YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin Ho posted a video on March 19, 2025. Lee Jin Ho claimed he felt a sense of duty to the bereaved family, but sought to reveal the truth. He alleged that Kim Sae Ron’s family had been hiding her marriage and pregnancy.
In the video, Lee Jin Ho stated that in an Instagram post shared by Kim Sae Ron in January 2025, she was seen with a mysterious man who appeared to be from a wedding. The caption read “Marry,” and the post was quickly removed from Kim Sae Ron’s social media in a matter of minutes. According to TV Reports, Kim Sae Ron’s representatives initially claimed the photos were part of a casual shoot with a friend. However, Lee Jin Ho confirmed that after verifying the facts, her marriage was confirmed.
Additionally, Lee Jin Ho shared a voice recording between the late actress and an agency representative, identified as “Person A.” In the recording, Kim Sae Ron clarified that she did not upload the wedding pictures herself, instead it was her boyfriend who had done it. The agency official, concerned about media attention, asked, “How can you get married when he’s not the guy I saw at Christmas? Are you sure you’re married?”
According to Lee Jon Ho, Kim Sae Ron admitted, “I met my ex-boyfriend, broke up, and told him that I had a boyfriend. I broke up with my boyfriend and wasn’t going to get married, but I got pregnant.” She further confessed, “I got rid of the baby. He threatened me with the baby, so I got married.” Kim Sae Ron revealed that her husband was a regular guy who worked for a big corporation and met her through a friend. Reports suggest that her trip to the U.S. earlier this year was for wedding preparations.
The voice recording also revealed Kim Sae Ron’s decision to switch from KakaoTalk to Telegram. She said that her boyfriend controlled her Instagram and KakaoTalk accounts. “Until I started using Telegram and sending occasional texts, I was powerless. I ended up uploading that photo after my boyfriend argued with me about hiding our marriage,” Kim Sae Ron said.
In the meantime, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Gold Medalist, is currently handling controversies in three ways, that is a law firm handling legal matters, a management team monitoring ads and media coverage, and a crisis management team that includes internal and external experts. However, the crisis team is working closely with Kim Sae Ron’s friends and former agency officials to piece together the circumstances leading up to her death.
