UConn went 24-10 this season and opened the tournament with a 67-59 win over Oklahoma. Solomon Ball led the Huskies with 14 points on 4-for-7 shooting while Alex Karaban added 13 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and two blocks.

Florida is 31-4 on the year and defeated Norfolk State 95-69 in the first round. Walter Clayton Jr. led the way with 23 points for the Gators on 6-for-11 shooting. Alijah Martin added 17 points on 7-for-10 shooting while Thomas Haugh came off the bench to put up 13 points, though he went 0-for-5 from deep.
