AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Thursday gave a Police complaint in the assault case against Bibhav Kumar, a report in ANI said.
The complaint comes hours after senior Delhi Police officials visited the residence of Swati Maliwal. She was allegedly assaulted by Bibhav Kumar, former PS of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.
The Delhi Police team, led by Additional Commissioner of Police P S Kushwaha, was at AAP MP Swati Maliwal’s residence for more than four hours.
On Monday morning, Maliwal went to the Civil Lines police station in New Delhi and alleged that a member of Kejriwal’s personal staff assaulted her at the chief minister’s official residence, PTI quoted police officials as saying.
Earlier on Thursday, the National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned Bibhav Kumar over Maliwal’s allegations. His hearing is scheduled for Friday at 11 am. On Tuesday, senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh had said that the incident with Maliwal was highly condemnable.
