Jinder Mahal, a former WWE Champion, has addressed the possibility of returning to WWE or exploring opportunities elsewhere. Following his release from WWE in April 2024, he has remained active in the wrestling world.
In a recent interview with MuscleManMalcolm, Mahal was directly asked about his openness to a WWE return or a move to another promotion.
“Yeah, of course, if it makes sense,” Mahal said. “Of course, if creative, business-wise, there has to be enough zeros on a piece of paper for me to sign it [laughs]. But I’m just having fun. I’ve been very blessed in my career.
I’ve had a long career, and I invested most of my earnings throughout my years. I became financially literate. I’ve studied money, learned compound interest and how to invest, and rental properties. So I just kind of do what I want and have fun [laughs]. But again, if it makes sense business-wise or something interests me creative-wise, definitely.”
Since his departure from WWE, Mahal has been making appearances in various independent promotions, including Game Changer Wrestling (GCW) and Mexico’s Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA). His performances have been met with positive reception.

Mahal had two runs with the company and was seen as someone who is a solid worker with good character traits. He’s also a well-respected wrestler in the industry.
Despite being linked to AEW and expressing interest in working with HOOK, Mahal has clarified that he has not received any contact from the company. In a recent interview with Monopoly Events’ Jamal Niaz, he confirmed that no one from AEW has contacted him.
Mahal explained that after years of demanding schedules in WWE, he enjoys his freedom and prioritizes his well-being. Mahal also shared his satisfaction with his WWE career and accomplishments, stating that he would be content if that marked the end of his wrestling journey.
He also highlighted his ventures outside of wrestling, including business endeavors and a recent movie role. Mahal ended by saying that he’s enjoying the freedom to pursue projects that bring him joy.
