Champions Trophy 2025: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has unveiled the prize money for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, significantly boosting the tournament’s prize pool as it makes its return after eight years. Each of the eight participating teams is assured a participation reward of $125,000 (approximately Rs 1.08 crore). Notably, the total prize fund has surged by 53% compared to the 2017 edition, now standing at $6.9 million (approximately Rs 59.93 crore).
The ICC has announced that the Champions Trophy 2025 winners will receive a grand prize of $2.24 million (approximately Rs 19.45 crore). Meanwhile, the runners-up will be awarded $1.12 million (approximately Rs 9.72 crore), as revealed in an official press release on February 14 (Friday). Moreover, the teams losing the semifinals are going to get $560,000 (approximately Rs 4.8 crore).

Notably, the total prize money for the 2017 Champions Trophy, which Pakistan won under the captaincy of Sarfaraz Ahmed, was $4.5 million, where the winner received $2.2 million.
Each of the eight teams in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will receive $34,000 (approximately 29.5 lakh) for every match they win. The teams finishing in fifth and sixth place will be awarded $350,000 (approximately 3 crore) each, while the seventh and eighth-placed sides will receive $140,000 (approximately 1.2 crore).
This tournament marks Pakistan’s first time hosting an ICC event since 1996. The 2025 edition will feature eight teams divided into two groups of four, with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals.

India, Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, England, Afghanistan and Bangladesh are the teams participating in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
