Anurag Kashyap till date is appreciated for making Gangs of Wasseypur (2012) along with Manoj Bajpayee, it’s the filmmaker’s career-best directorial. This film resurrected Manoj Bajpayee’s filmy career too and today he is enjoying the second innings. But before making Gangs of Wasseypur there was almost 11 to 12 years of gap between Anurag and Manoj not working together, they had done Satya together. Talking about why he and Anurag didn’t work together for years, Manoj in an interview with Bollywood Bubble revealed that Anurag Kashyap didn’t need him at that time as his career was going down.

The actor reportedly told Bollywood Bubble,” There was a misunderstanding about one thing, and we didn’t talk about it. Now it has become so big on social media that sometimes when embarrassment occurs, things are exaggerated. We didn’t talk because I felt, he wasn’t making films of my type, and he also felt that there was no need for Manoj Bajpayee right now because his career was going down. So both of us were enjoying our lives separately, he didn’t need me, and I didn’t need him”.
Manoj Bajpayee got his career-best character Sardar Khan and till date, he is thankful to the filmmaker for giving him Gangs of Wasseypur. Manoj is right now gearing up for his next Bhaiyya Ji produced by his wife. The actor will also be seen next in Family Man 3.
