Another exit poll for the Delhi assembly elections has predicted a major setback for the Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party in the national capital.
According to the post-poll survey by Axis My India, Bharatiya Janata Party is predicted to sweep 50 of the 70 assembly seats in the Delhi Legislative Assembly while Aam Aadmi Party could get limited to just 20 seats.
The survey comes in stark contrast to the huge mandate that AAP received in the 2020 assembly polls securing 62 seats while BJP won only 8 seats.

However, Congress might once again be left to bite dust which did not secure a single seat in the previous elections.
As per the survey, the BJP — which is contesting the polls in alliance with Janata Dal(United) and Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) — is projected to secure a seat share between 45 to 55 with 48 per cent vote share.
For the AAP, the seat share could hover between 15 to 25 with 42 per cent vote share while 1 seat each has been predicted for Congress and Others.
Interestingly, while BJP has topped the tally for seat share, Arvind Kejriwal is the popular chief minister choice for Delhi voters. A total of 33 per cent want Kejriwal to remain the CM followed by his rival from BJP Parvesh Verma with 13 per cent.
Twelve per cent voters would like to see Manoj Tiwari as Delhi CM while 9 per cent voted in favour of Harsh Vardhan.

For 6 of the 7 Lok Sabha seats in the national capital, BJP might have an easy contest but South Delhi is expected to witness a neck-to-neck fight with five seats each predicted for BJP and AAP.
AAP is a popular choice for the unemployed voters in the national capital while women voters seem to skew more towards BJP.
Purvanchali voters, considered one of the most important vote banks for any party in Delhi elections could be a major factor for saffron party’s victory. As per the survey, 50 per cent Bihari voters have voted for BJP while 48 per cent voters from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have aslo given their mandate in favour of the saffron party.

In terms of community-wise votes, Pahadi voters have been ascertained to have heavily voted in favour of BJP with a whopping 57 per cent.
On the flip side, North Easter voters seemed to have sided with AAP with 55 per cent vote share followed by Bengali (53%).
AAP could have its potential tapped by Dalit voters as, according to the survey Balmiki (53%) and Jatav (60%), have voted in large numbers for the party. Muslim voters have also shown their trust in AAP with a 74 per cent vote share, however, the party could lose some of its seats as the vote share among Muslims is highest in Others (6%).
