Rob Schneider is a big fan of Elon Musk, and he took to the billionaire’s social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to show it.
The Animal actor, 61, posted a video on Wednesday, February 5, in which he pretended to be outraged by the tech mogul’s recent actions in the United States government, before thanking him instead.

“Elon Musk, I have this to say to you on behalf of the American people,” he shouted, shaking a finger at the camera, before softening his tone and saying, “Thank you. Thank you so much. It’s been incredible. We really appreciate it. Keep going!” The comedian then added his signature line, which he’s repeated in many of his movie cameos — “You can do it!” The line originated in the Adam Sandler film, The Water Boy.
Schneider has leaned into the phrase by writing a book called You Can Do It: Speak Your Mind America!
Some of the comedian’s followers were enthusiastic about his video. One commented, “I love this so much omg,” while another echoed Schneider’s sentiment. “Keep going Elon! YOU CAN DO IT!!” Several others posted a GIF of Schneider delivering the line.
However, other social media users used the platform to express their distaste for Musk’s actions. “Can anyone explain what good elon musk is gonna do for our country?” asked one X user. Another commenter went more vulgar with their criticism, writing, “Rob “suckelonsd**k” Schneider, the latest sellout.”
Schneider made headlines in August 2024 when his daughter, singer Elle King, publicly criticized him and his treatment of her during her childhood. He also announced that he would be producing a women’s talk show to “compete with” The View, though no further announcements regarding the program have been made.
