She stated that the show has successfully run its course, and they didn’t want to stretch the story unnecessarily and finish it on a low note, hence it was best that the show ended on a successful note. Imlie: Sai Ketan Rao’s FIRST reaction as his show goes off air
Sai Ketan Rao, while recalling his first reaction to the news of his TV show Imlie going off air, said, ‘I think shows going off air have become very common. Shows are now going off air within 3 months. Some shows go off air within a month or two as well. Imlie is my third show and by now I know that it’s a part of the journey. I gave my best, people loved it, that matters to me a lot. My first reaction was, it’s part of my job, part of my journey. If a journey is starting, it will end eventually.’

Talking about Imlie, the first season featured actors like Sumbul Touqeer and Gashmeer Mahajani in lead roles. Post Gashmeer’s exit, Fahmaan Khan was introduced, which boosted the TRPs to a significant level. In the second season, actors Karan Vohra and Megha Chakraborty were roped in. The current season starred Sai Ketan Rao and Adrija Roy. The makers of Imlie have always introduced a generation leap whenever their show’s TRPs had a dip. This time too, fans thought the makers would introduce a new generation; however, it seems it’s finally time to say goodbye to the television show Imlie.
