But one actress who’s performance was deemed poor is Sharmin Segal, the actress faced a lot of criticism for her portrayal as Alamzeb in the drama series that she had to disable her comments sections on her Instagram posts reportedly.

After disabling her comments on Instagram, Sharmin Segal has finally come out in the open and spoke about the backlash that she faced for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Heeramandi. In her recent appearance on the BBC Asian Network podcast, Sharmin spoke about how she handles the scrutiny. “There is a lot of pressure and sometimes it manifests in weird ways”. The actress revealed that she has a very good support system in her sister who is also an assistant director of the show. Sharmin mentioned that she goes and vents out to her sister in such situations.
Sharmin added that one cannot control people’s opinions and that she is not the person who takes pressure on her. Calling herself a secure person, Sharmin mentioned she likes to keep her professional side away from her personal life. Talking about performing as Alamzeb, she said that of course she wants everyone to love her character but in the end, people will have to say what they want and she doesn’t affect her mental health and leads a happy life.
Sharmin Segal is clearly unaffected by the criticism and that’s how an actor should be? Right? Sharmin plays Mallika Jaan’s (Manisha Koirala) daughter Alamzeb in Heeramandi, her chemistry with Taha Shah Badussha was loved by the audience.
