Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is in the news because of its former cast member Gurucharan Singh. The actor who played Mr Sodhi in Asit Modi’s show is missing since the past few days. Reportedly, he is missing since April 22. His parents have lodged a complaint in Delhi and investigation is on. So far, his last location has been traced to Palam where he allegedly removed Rs 7000 from an ATM. On April 24 this transaction took place. All the fans of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah as well as the cast members are worried for Gurucharan Singh. Tanuj Mahashabde who plays the role of Mr Iyer has now reacted to the news.

To Etimes, Tanuj Mahashabde aka Mr Iyer mentioned that he is quite worried for him. He stated that he has no idea what is happening and neither was he in touch with Gurucharan as the actor quit Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah almost four years ago. They were in touch on and off, however, he does not remember when was the last time he spoke to him. When asked whether he has contacted Gurucharan Singh’s parents, he said that the tried calling them once but as there was no answer, he did not bother them as he knows they are in a lot of tension. He does not want to disturb them. He says that he is very worried and is praying for Gurucharan’s safety. To the same portal, Malav Rajda, the former director of TMKOC, also stated that it is quite shocking.
Earlier, there were reports suggesting that Gurucharan Singh was going through financial crisis and that he was also planning to get married. However, latest reports suggest that the family isn’t aware of any wedding plans as such. The Delhi police is investigating the case and they even paid a visit to his house to get more details. AICWA – All Indian Cine Workers Association has also reportedly requested the Delhi CM to expedite the process. The police is yet to give the latest update on this case. Meanwhile, everyone from TMKOC is simply hoping that Gurucharan Singh is fine.
