Recently, her father revealed that his daughter was not comfortable doing one of the movies she was roped in for. It was a big-budget film that was a super flop at the box office. The movie also featured a popular South star in the lead role. When the announcement was made, everyone was excited to see his Hindi movie debut. However, the film left everyone disappointed. In an interview, Ananya Panday’s father and actor Chunky Pandey revealed why his daughter was uncomfortable. As reported by Indian Express, Chunky said, “When she asked me if she she should do this film… she was thinking that she was too young for it. She said ‘Papa, I am too young to do this.’ I said you do this, it’s a commercial, big film but maybe she was right. She was too young to do it. She was uncomfortable. She said maybe, I am too young for this. The Housefull actor revealed that after Liger, he never influenced Ananya into making any decisions. Panday added, “From that day on, I never put any pressure on her. Maybe I was wrong. I am old school. I don’t know anything else. If she had asked me ‘Papa, should I do Bae?’ I would have said no.”

Meanwhile, Liger was helmed by Puri Jagannadh and produced by Karan Johar. Made on a budget of at least Rs 125 crore, it earned only Rs 60 crore approximately at the box office.
