Virat Kohli Out Of IND vs ENG 1st ODI In Nagpur Due To Knee Issue

No Virat Kohli in IND vs ENG 1st ODI: India suffered a major injury concern ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 as star batter Virat Kohli was ruled out of the first India vs England ODI of the three-match series in Nagpur due to a knee issue. The announcement of Virat missing the game was confirmed by India captain Rohit Sharma after the toss.

While announcing Yashasvi Jaiswal and Harshit Rana’s debuts for Team India at the toss in Nagpur, Rohit also confirmed Kohli’s unavailability, saying, “Jaiswal and Harshit are making their debuts, unfortunately Virat isn’t playing, he had a knee problem last night.”

The extent of Kohli’s knee issue remains uncertain, but pre-match visuals from the broadcaster showed him with a strap on his right knee. Footage also captured him walking cautiously, prompting Gautam Gambhir’s Indian team management to take a cautious approach.
