The film being discussed here is The Buckingham Murders. This Indian crime thriller – which was directed by Hansal Mehta – had featured Kareena Kapoor Khan as the lead. The actress had played a grieving British-Indian detective who is given the case of a murdered child in Buckinghamshire. The movie may not have generated massive box office collection, but its story and Kareena’s acting have impressed many. The film was also in news for Bebo slapping a famous chef multiple times on the set.
Chef Ranveer Brar who had essayed the role of Daljeet Kohli in The Buckingham Murders was slapped by Kareena for a sequence that was essential to the story. Ranveer had said in an interview that for a scene, Kareena had to slap him and she was reluctant to do it. “Kareena repeatedly saying that she will not slap him in real,” said the chef-turned-actor.
Ranveer had also revealed that each time the shot had to be shot, Kareena would slap him in a manner that won’t even touch Ranveer because the hand would stop near the nose.This is why it took 15 retakes to give a perfect shot for this scene. Ranveer said that the shot was finalised and approved after 15 retakes.
Ranveer had also lauded Kareena Kapoor Khan stating that he was initially intimidated by her strong presence. Nonetheless, her passion for movies really made the shoot run smoothly.
