A woman has shared heartwarming footage of her newly adopted shelter dog who just wants to cuddle constantly.
Anoosha Kargarfard, 31, (@anooshakar) adopted her border collie/terrier Beau from a Miami shelter last week and has documented his wholesome journey as he settles in his new home.
Border collies are energetic, affectionate and smart with high levels of energy, as described by the American Kennel Club.
In an endearing video that has amassed 492,800 likes and 2.5 million views, Beau the black and white pup walks up towards a coach and rolls over lovingly onto his back.

His owner Kargarfald told Newsweek: “Beau is an old soul. He’s not a traditional puppy, and no matter what anyone says, he has this charm of a retired old man, selective about his interactions with others, loves to observe, and is very content with sleeping on the couch and watching TV.
“He’s timid, shy, and was initially terrified of his own shadow, but he’s slowly building confidence. He still has his charm and knows exactly how to manipulate your feelings.
“He also retaliates and gives a strong ‘side eye’… Needless to say, he’s a very interesting person trapped in a puppy.”
The cute pooch melted the hearts of commenters, who commended the owner for adopting and not shopping.
Beau, formerly Lawrence, was adopted from the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
Kargarfald revealed she relocated from Canada to Florida less than six months ago and had to leave her previous two dogs behind.
A few weeks ago she was on FaceTime with a cousin when she saw a stray dog bolt past her home. She hung up the call and chased the dog for two hours but was devastated when they disappeared.
Two days later upon returning from work she drove ‘on autopilot’ from work to the shelter.

She said: “I walked in, and after the third window to my left, I see these three puppies playing together, one of which happened to be Beau.
“His name at the shelter was Lawrence. He looked at me, propped up his ears, and something told me ‘that’s the one…’ I ran back to the front desk, and immediately inquired about ‘Lawrence.’
“I asked to meet Beau, and he was so incredibly timid, I didn’t get a feel for his personality, really. But now, I’m sure if he showed his true colors at the shelter, he would have been gone immediately.”
The Humane Society of Greater Miami’s Soffer and Fine adoption center cares for over 400 homeless dogs, puppies, cats and kittens each day without the threat of euthanasia.
According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals IASPCA), 6.3 million animals enter US shelters each year, with 3.1 million dogs and 3.2 million cats.
Some 920,000 shelter animals are euthanized each year, the ASPCA added.
There are a plethora of reasons to adopt a dog from a shelter, including to make space for more animals that need saving, to give a second chance to a loving dog, to help to combat cruel breeding and to gain a lifelong best friend.
Fortunately Beau’s story is a happier tale as he relishes in the comfort of his new found forever home in Miami.
Kargarfald said: “I’d like to show the world that dogs from a shelter or any rescue program whether if they’re rehomed or rehabilitated, have immense gratitude and this business of buying animals should be at a halt, for good.
“I have three rescues and I can’t imagine any other way to have a fur baby.”
Casey Lorraine commented: “Omg stop it that is too precious.”
Kez said: “From a collie owner, cuddles are your life now. Ultimate velcro dogs.”
Kargarfald revealed in the comments Beau was the last of his litter to be adopted as other dog parents shared their adoption stories.
KJ said: “We just adopted a beagle and she’s just like that too. She spent years in a cage and alllll she wants is love.”
One commenter speculated that his low tail, ears back and tight mouth could be appeasement behavior.
Kargarfald replied: “He is new, and he’s only a baby, so we are working through it as they come up.”
