The Chicago Bears appear to be buying in that they are going to be a special team in 2024 and for the years beyond. The team drafted USC’s Caleb Williams and Washington’s Rome Odunze and also brought in former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen and tight end Gerard Everett.

The team already had a superstar pass catcher on the team with perennial wider receiver DJ Moore, who just received a historic contract extension.

The Bears and Moore agreed to a four-year, $110 million contract extension, that also includes $82.6 million guaratneed.

Adam Schefter reported the news, stating, “DJ Moore and the Bears reached an agreement on a four-year, $110 million extension that includes $82.6M guaranteed. The deal was negotiated by Drew Rosenhaus, Jason Rosenhaus, and Robert Bailey. Moore now has had the first 10 years of his career years guaranteed, a first in NFL history for a wide receiver.”

According to Schefter’s piece, Moore is now the only wide receiver in the NFL who has had the first 10 years of his career guaranteed.
