In a major setback for former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia in the Delhi liquor policy scam case, the Rouse Avenue Court has rejected his bail plea. Previously, lower courts, the High Court, and the Supreme Court have all denied bail to Sisodia.
Opposing the bail, investigative agencies had stated that Sisodia was the kingpin of the scam and should not be granted bail. Granting him bail could lead to tampering with evidence and influencing witnesses.
