In Celebrity MasterChef, Gaurav Khanna is coming across as a strong contestant. After Anupamaa, Gaurav Khanna chose to become a part of the reality show and flaunt his cooking skills. However, the journey isn’t as easy as one may think. Further, Gaurav Khanna has an added disadvantage as he is a vegetarian and faces colour blindness. In one of the recent episodes, the actor revealed to the judges that he has difficulty recognising colours due to colour blindness. Farah Khan and judges got criticised for being insensitive toward Gaurav’s revelation. Once again, the actor found himself in a pickle due to the same.
In a recent episode, the contestants were served with a fitness challenge. It was a team task. Gaurav Khanna and Kabita Singh were in a team. One member had to cycle while other would cook. They decided to make Thai Roast Chicken along with Avocado sauce. Kabita Singh was cycling and Gaurav was cooking. Chefs Ranveer Brar and Vikas Khanna came to his desk and asked him about both the dishes being of same colour. He once again reiterated that he has colour blindness. Ranveer mentioned that in the fifth week of Celebrity MasterChef, their dish appears to ‘safe’. Vikas Khanna then asks about the ingredients they have and suggests to use the red capsicum to add colour.
Later, Gaurav Khanna spoke about the changes made to the dish and humorously added that they made the red sauce so that ‘Jai-Veeru’s’ wishes are taken care of. Fans aren’t very happy with the judges but are lauding Gaurav Khanna for adding humour to everything. One of the comments read, “The way GK adds humour during cooking is a fun to watch. Woh bhi natural humour, na ki forced one. Good going GK. Accha title diya hai judges koh Jay Veeru.” Fans appeared disappointed with the judges as one of the comments read, “Again, he had to mention his CB as judges questioned about the same colour of avocado sauce & dip. His struggle is heartbreaking. But the behaviour of judges is so annoying & insensitive.”

#GauravKhanna didn’t make this up for a cooking show. He is legitimately color blind and it’s a know fact since almost a decade.
