Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan got married in June 2022 after being in a relationship for 6 years. The wedding took place at a resort in Mahabalipuram in Chennai and it was an intimate affair attended by a few Bollywood dignitaries like Rajnikanth and Shah Rukh Khan.
Nayanthara and Vignesh announced becoming parents of twins via surrogacy and even got surrounded by controversy as the Tamil Nadu government initiated an inquiry to make sure that the couple had complied with legal requirements. Vignesh clarified that they had registered their marriage six years ago and the surrogate is one of their relatives.
Nayanthara had made her Bollywood debut with Jawan along with Shah Rukh Khan where reports claimed that she was unhappy with being sidelined by Deepika Padukone’s character that came out too prominent compared to her role. The latest buzz is that Nayanthara has replaced Kareena Kapoor Khan in Yash starrer Toxic to play the role of his sister.
